I love this product because my fireplace is safe now, I have extra seating and it doesn't look ugly! I know I could just spend $20 and buy a product to hide the edges but I just don't like how it looks. We never use our fireplace anyway and I wanted it to be an extra seating area so I could sit on it and play with my baby instead of sitting on the floor. As you can see from the pictures, if you stand very close - you will definitely see the stitching. (I mixed up one side because I measured it wrong, but that's my fault). But I took a picture of where I'm sitting on the couch, the stitching isn't showing, and it looks fine. I didn't use tape to stick it to the chimney. It stays in place well. Because I always look at other people's reviews and wonder where they drew their other stuff. The pillow on top is 48 inches long and came with a 4-cube window seat I bought at Walmart. The gold stuff in front of the fireplace is just 2 parts of a Lowe backsplash. It lights up and appears. They're not even sealed or anything, I just installed them there and they stay in place.
