I initially bought this dress for engagement photos, it fits nicely but I was disappointed when I received it. When the package arrived (earlier than expected) it was an obvious return. The dress was shoved back into the original package and was extremely wrinkly. The dress is made of rayon and looks like a cheap Chinese knock-off rather than the beautiful dress that’s pictured. Truthfully, this dress is definitely NOT worth $40. If this dress was $12-$15 I’d keep it but it feels cheap even tho its somewhat flattering for an hour glass figure.Also: the belt comes separate and you can tie it around where the elastic is under the bust. There are two small side loops on the side to keep it in place. The outline for the "ruffle” where the front of the dress "wraps”, it’s just an extra seem. When ironed it looks flat and kinda weird like they ran out of fabric and added on a piece because it was too short or they didn’t add enough to give the hem that wavy/ruffled look. Again, not worth $40The part I did like however was how the sleeves are flattering and is great for a summer dress because it is breathable. The part where the dress "wraps” is sewn together by the upper to mid thigh for coverage.Overall, it’s a decent dress but I feel like I get quality items at Marshalls and even Ross for $40. It’s flattering and my fiancé likes it but I’m not sold.
