I recommend not telling your significant other that you are using.

Home-X hooks work as advertised, even on my big button jeans. But in reality, the clothes you use it on don't look 100% normal upon closer inspection. So I cover the extension strip with either a wide belt or an open top. Now I can wear jeans that I almost threw away because they were too tight and no one knows what to do. The material is quite durable and shows no signs of damage. I recommend not telling your significant other that you are using an extension cord!
