I cut out a piece to form the base of my magnetic stand, attached it and then attached the whole thing to a carefully cleaned piece of dashboard. The iPhone rests on the dashboard with one long edge - the phone faces me at a slight angle. He's holding up well. But there is no hot and sunny weather yet - it will be next week. And I have no idea how easy or difficult it will be to remove it - or what I should use to help the process. We'll see in a few years.
