Very good value for money. The app is a bit confusing at first, but once you know where everything is, it becomes easy. I'm using 5GHz WiFi and the light works fine with my Alexa Echo Dot. Alexa compatibility needs to be updated; I wish Alexa was more accurate and understood more colors. Red, green, blue and purple are all beautiful. However, orange is more like yellow-orange and yellow is more like green-yellow. pink is not pink; it's more of a tinted white. If you want something close to true pink, ask for purple. I recently found out that Alexa also understands teal and lime. If you're having trouble with Alexa, be sure to use an app, which is much more accurate and can help you fine-tune the color you want. The dimming function is fine, especially for the price. Ask Alexa to get it down to a percentage, like "Alexa, turn my lamp on at 25% brightness." I haven't tried other whites, so I won't comment on that. All I know is that "soft white" gives a more neutral sand color compared to the standard white. These lamps are quite bright, but cannot compete with natural sunlight or typical recessed ceiling lights. They are most effective as the only light in a room. All in all it's a lot of fun. I would recommend as long as they stay $20 or less.
