I wanted to buy an Otterbox Defender but could not justify the price and the fact that there is a hole for the logo on the back. I personally find that counterintuitive. This case is significantly thinner than the Defender. Keeping my phone in this bag makes me sure it won't break if dropped. There are protrusions on the side for gripping. However, given the heavy weight, it is still slippery. I usually have one of these grip rings, but the back of this case doesn't have a flat surface to put the glue on. TIP: Like most people, I removed the protective screen. who came with a case. I have a hardened case on my phone. It is possible to get out of the protective screen of the case, but this creates tension on the sides, which makes the case easy to fall out in a fall.
