So, kinda crap, but I got it working

"You get what you pay for." This is still true. I was able to get this kit to work, albeit with some fiddling, not helped by the crappy quality of the hardware that came with it. If you want something to easily install inexpensive soft cases at great prices, you can do this. The frame components themselves seem fine, but all the nuts and bolts included in this kit are rubbish. They are cheap chrome plated rather than stainless steel, with many warped and mismanufactured parts. The two nylock locknuts that came with my kit had the nylon locking insert completely missing and the top flange was not upset. That's why they left the factory unfinished. The small screws holding the bottom jumper are TOO small and two of mine have already snapped off. One screw also had a deformed head, making installation impossible. It's best to just throw away all the nuts and bolts that come with the kit and buy replacements from your local hardware store. After all. Yes it works.
