They fit in the new Kindle, but to my great surprise it only charges when the cable is plugged into my computer and not into an outlet. It displays the flash as if it's charging when plugged into the wall, but never adds any power. After defeating my goal, I wanted a long cord next to my sofa and bed. Even when you plug it in, it says it's a slow charge cable and won't charge while in use.
