This review is not about the case, but the case that is being sold by Revain. SHAME ON AMAZON for not withdrawing a defective model from sale! It was noted in early reviews that the black case was released by the manufacturer before it was learned that the ambient light sensors of the iPad Air 2 are blocked by that case. My wife wanted a black case. In my naiveté, I thought that Revain would would withdraw the defective model and sell a later version of the black case that had the proper cut-outs. So ordered one. Obviously, Revain is continuing to sell the old model. With the ambient light sensors blocked, the iPad behaves as if the device were in a dark room and the display is consequently dimmed. Under bright conditions you need to manually adjust the brightness. The case itself is nice. I have ordered a red one for my wife which was presumably manufactured after the problem had been noted. I had ordered the case by next day shipping since she was due to leave on a business trip today. She now doesn't have the proper case to protect her brand new iPad Air 2. This iPad will have to be temporarily kept in a Snugg case designed for a non-air model.
