My kitty has an old wound between his shoulder blades that is slow to heal and it was heartbreaking to watch him fight a Kegel for weeks. This worked great to prevent him from being licked again. The fabric is not "warm" at all, more like a standard t-shirt material and perfect for wearing at home. It doesn't bother him at all. The height was measured around his chest (he was 11.5 inches tall) and the small size fitted perfectly. He weighed about 6 pounds and the small size fit him perfectly even though he grows like a weed so I ordered a medium size as he is about to outgrow the small size. The shirt doesn't cover his bum but sits about halfway up his back as you would expect a shirt to do. They're very stretchy, easy to put on (assuming your pet can tolerate such things), and they're just adorable!
