This is my first experience with a plant-based protein powder. I don't know if those people saying it's "not too fat," "too sweet," or "tastes good" are real people with real reviews, but this stuff is none of the above . I switched to a plant-based diet and based on these reviews decided to give it a try. My first mistake was mixing it with the oat milk that I love so much... 8 ounces of milk and a scoop of that stuff and it was as thick as chocolate pudding. I ended up tossing it out and mixing it with 8 ounces of water...it was thick too, but not nearly as thick as milk. It didn't taste sweet or even chocolatey, it just tasted gritty and tasted like cardboard. I'll try to eat this to the end because if the science behind it really works then this time I can get my teary butt to ditch the taste until I find something tastier. I only drank it twice with water and the second time I just used tap water...I think it was actually easier. No stomach ache yet, but no protein has ever given me stomach problems, so (shrugs). I really wanted to enjoy this because it will keep me focused on this plant-based diet and looking for delicious alternatives. I know a lot of people here who say it mixes well with berries and their smoothies...maybe the best option for that is mixing it with other desserts or smoothies or even pancake mixes. I hope this review is helpful to others.
