To make videos smooth, a gimbal like the Osmo Pocket doesn't necessarily point exactly where you point it. This controller lets you specify where you want the Osmo Pocket to point, and it works pretty well for that. It's not ideal that it contains a control and a radio button to choose whether that control moves it from side to side. - to the side or up/down. "Joystick" would be much more intuitive. The nominal method of controlling camera orientation is on the screen of your smartphone. I don't like connecting the Osmo Pocket to my smartphone because I see signs that this connection is getting tiring. So this controller is a good alternative with the added benefit of being easier to use with one hand.
