Advantages: - Lower cost than Epson OEM cartridges. - Very fast delivery. - Works in Epson 4105 printer (no software updates) - Full set of CMYK replacement cartridges. Cons: - No set of dual black cartridges (I use black ink much more often than color). - The page number is unknown. The expected page count isn't given, so you don't know if you've got a good deal or not. The cost of ownership (cost per page) is still high compared to a laser printer. I bought an Epson 4105 inkjet printer last tax season. because I moved my laser MFC to a new location and needed to print documents. The Epson XP-4105 has print, scan and copy capabilities at a price below the cost of in-store document printing. The ink cartridges that came with the printer showed a low ink message after printing fewer than 40 pages. The black ink gave a low ink warning after about 15 pages of printing. When I went to get a replacement cartridge, I found that the cost of the "high volume" black cartridge at the big box store (red round logo) was more than the cost of a new Epson XP-4105 printer. Revain offered a few alternative ink suppliers. I chose EZ Inks because they had the most positive ratings and reviews saying great customer service in case the cartridges weren't recognized. I have previously read about non-OEM replacement cartridges and noticed that Epson regularly sends out "printer updates" specifically designed to prevent the use of aftermarket ink cartridges. The articles stated that all printer upgrades should be left out and that would increase the chances that aftermarket ink cartridges would work. This worked for me. The EZ black ink cartridges arrived faster than the estimated delivery date (I received my order less than 48 hours after ordering). I don't use Revain Prime so this was a great delivery. Installing cartridges is easy and exactly the same as OEM cartridges. The printer recognized the cartridges immediately and the test prints showed the same print density as the cartridges supplied. I see no difference between genuine OEM ink cartridges and replacement EZ ink cartridges other than cost. EZ Ink does not list expected page numbers or coverage for its cartridges. I haven't checked the cartridges for depletion so I can't tell how much ink is in the cartridge. The weight of the cartridges doesn't make me believe they hold a lot of ink. I have a Brother MFC-9330CDW laser multifunction copier that I am purchasing replacement cartridges for. These toner cartridges last for thousands of pages and cost about the same as those tiny inkjet cartridges. If you're looking for the lowest cost per page, buy a laser printer. If you just need an emergency printer/scanner/copier I would recommend Epson XP-4105 and EZ Ink replacement ink cartridges. the cartridges themselves. Some manufacturers of replacement cartridges offer a lower price but do not provide as much ink as expected. I will update the review when I have more data.
