Review on πŸ“ ERAVSOW Coffee Scale with Timer - Precision Stainless Steel Kitchen Food Weight Scale with LCD Display & Hanger Hole - 6.6lb/3kg by Kimberly Jain

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great scale for accurate measurements, best I could have hoped for so give it a try!

I use this scale as a regular kitchen scale, not a timed coffee scale, so my rating will reflect my use. I bought because they measure down to 0.1 grams which is 10x better resolution than most kitchen scales, like my favorite OXO which died after many years. I don't usually need such fine resolution, but I need to know grams exactly so that when I see tenths of a gram, I can see exactly how close I am to that 1 gram difference. For example, less accurate scales don't respond to tiny changes in weight. So if you make a few tiny additions so the scale registers another gram, it's not sensitive enough to register those tiny changes to see if you ended up adding enough flour. say 30 grams. With regular tortillas, you have to take the piece off the scale and weigh the whole thing again because the smaller scale just doesn't register tiny increases or decreases. This actually makes this scale accurate to the tiny amounts you add or subtract to get the exact weight in whole grams, which is why I think it's 10 times better for less money than my previous scales. The display is very stable, meaning the weight doesn't bounce up and down a few times before leveling off at true weight, that's how the scale is supposed to work and it's fast. I think the trade-off for this increased accuracy is that the upper weight limit is lower than OXO and others, but if you're making 1, 2 or 3 cakes or loaves you'll need to weigh in small additions like salt and spices. If you need to weigh large cuts of meat, this scale isn't heavy enough to do it. Therefore, when choosing how you will use the scale, compare it with the specifications listed. So far it has been very consistent, stable and fast. In addition, taring works well and quickly, and the automatic shut-off function gives you plenty of time to distract yourself, e.g. B. checking a recipe or opening a new bag of flour, so this function also balances the need with saving batteries. Others disconnected too soon and I went completely insane, so keep that little quirk in mind. The only minor gripe I have is that it has an orange display, which is my least favorite color, but it's bright and easy to read, so not really an argument from me. And if it keeps up with time I'll be a very happy woman, but so far so good! I've been using it multiple times a day for storing sourdough and baking bread for a few months now and it's perfect for that and it's had a workout before I wrote this review. I hope this helps you with your choice as there are so many scales out there that it's difficult to pick all the right buttons but this scale did it perfectly! Happy baking!
