They do not leak BUT sucking the drink through the straw is difficult and uncomfortable. I sent them to school in my son's lunch box. A few months later, as I rush to attach the straw, my son tells me the straws aren't working. He unscrewed the lid and drank from the box. Luckily he drinks all the juice so there is no leakage problem. However, I will not buy again. I want juice boxes that don't leak or spill. My child has to remove the top - it's an accident that has to happen.
