Review on Nokian Tires Hakkapeliitta 9 SUV 275/55 R20 117T winter by Wiktor Niemiec ᠌

It works, but I don't think I'll be buying it again.

I put it on LK 200. In Size 285/60/18., There are no complaints about the asphalt, the windows are always closed, quiet and calm. But then the first snows came, and the roads began to freeze over, as I have been walking frustrated for several days . ( I was just driving along the highway, at a speed of 60-65 km / h, slowly going into a turn, my car began to be pulled into the oncoming lane, and not to bring the stern, but right with the head of the car almost reached the bump stop of the oncoming lane, there was no accident (I live in the Far East and therefore not all roads are very busy - lucky). In my company, all company cars were changed to Hakkapelita 8 tires, and after this incident I decided to ask the opinion of my colleagues, I collected almost identical opinions. In general, there were no more CRITICAL cases, so little things, but now I drive with some fear for the car all the time. I don't want to make advertisements for tires that were used before, but they were much better, and I myself, and the company's drivers, were much more confident on winter roads. In general, I’ll say this, when buying tires, I probably read 500 reviews about different tires, and I’ll say the conclusion is something like this - “For the city, the rubber is probably not bad, but the snowfield and the ice of remote corners of our country are very poorly tolerated.” I hope my review when choosing tires by other owners will also be useful.

Pros
  • It looks good enough and is very pleased with the special composition on the sidewalls, which, I hope, will not let you down.
Cons
  • Rubber in my opinion does not correspond to the declared characteristics at all. Maybe, of course, representatives of various automotive magazines test tires differently, but for 2 weeks of driving on it I can say one thing, I definitely don’t feel confident in a car when driving on ice and rolled snow.
