Review on 🎨 Optimized Badger Air-Brush Company Minitaire Color Paint Set with Color Coat/Paint Retarder by Sasha Hsiao

I've had these paints for about a year now so I feel it's only fair in rating them and my experience with them. I also think it's important to point out that I put these colors on my minis. I am aware that they are airbrushed so your mileage may vary when using an airbrush. I would say that 65% of these paints are premium and value for money. No problem with the good guys. About a third of the set just isn't very good for a number of reasons: 1. Some colors don't match well at all. For example you need to apply 10 coats on a mini to cover your Zenith base coat in the same way as good paints. That's not such a big deal as there are enough colors to throw away the bad ones and mix others to get the discarded colors. Nonsense, I have 3 bottles of paint that are just pigment at the moment. These are of course not the colors that I use very often. However, when I compare them to other bottles that aren't cloudy, it just doesn't make sense that they are cloudy. Not a big deal either as it's only a few bottles and you can add some paint thinner to cloudy bottles to get good color back. Just note that after a few days of adding paint thinner it will go back to that once it becomes dull. 3. Ghost shades don't look good in my opinion. After drying they leave a really shiny glassy look and I don't like that on miniatures. The only exception is that shiny red is almost as good for blood as GW blood is for blood gods color. I never use Ghost Shades for anything other than shiny special effects. Don't expect to wash your model with this, use the GW mini wash kit, so far these are the best cleaning products I've used. All in all if you don't want to pay for GW or Scale paint I would say this is a good set to start painting with.
