This shape does NOT represent the actual size of the egg. It's pretty obvious in the picture, but there were some buyers who were under the impression it was them. Rather, it's a very good size for soap and lotion. Exactly what I wanted it for. The rounded side makes it more comfortable to use specifically for lotion bars without all of the harsh edges of the more traditional rectangular bar. Silicone is exactly what we love for its versatility and ease of cleaning. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the outer finish of this particular mold. It seems to have a rougher feel that picks up all sorts of dust and fine debris. It's not a big deal because I wash them off before using, but thought I'd mention it.
