They're warm and snuggly - we love them for that. These were the first shoes our child wore outside in winter and they kept his feet warm. They also have a grippy rubber outsole. The question is, why would anyone make children's shoes without straps and ribbons? Our child kept dropping them in the stroller. We could barely walk 30 seconds without one of them going off, and then another. It was worse to carry the child in a backpack or in your arms. We set off towards our destination only to find that the boots had been thrown off about half an hour ago and had fallen behind us so we didn't realize they were gone. Since these were our only shoes, Mom had to stay with the baby while Dad trotted back to look for the lost shoes. It was enough to drive you crazy. We ended up buying another pair from another company with velcro so they stayed. Otherwise these are good boots but be prepared to search for them.
