I have a cat that jumps off a tray and takes a litter spray with it. Most of the dirt is caught with my two-mat setup. I have two older cats who don't mind the feel of the mat and it doesn't make our feet uncomfortable. Thankfully, it's very easy to clean. Not only does Lily sloppily jump out of the box, but she's decided this is her favorite place to throw up. Much easier to clean than carpet! I've only worn it for a week and the floor mat has been washed twice in the shower. The liquid is easily soaked up with a few paper towels, then discard the filler before rinsing. I just ordered a third rug to turn inside out while the first dries. The carpets look beautiful, absorb dirt effectively, are odorless and easy to care for. Saves time and is worth your money!
