Review on StarTech Com Angle Serial Cable SATA12LA1 by Fred Massingill

I had problems with external SSD and external HDD. I blamed the storage devices, but both problems were actually caused by the cheap USB extenders I plugged into the hubs. I thought the cables were ok because other peripherals like the webcam worked fine. I did a little research and found that active cables are needed in excess of 3 meters (9 feet) to maintain a digital signal. I bought these cables instead and they work great with both HDDs and SSDs. If you need to connect your storage via a 10 foot or longer extension cord, don't buy cheap cords, get these active ones instead.
