Good price

As an IT professional with a degree in Electronics, I've found myself really love playing with Raspberry Pi (RPi) devices - so much so I ended up with 6 of them! I have 3 RPi 3b+ units and 3 RPi Zero W units - friends and colleagues just gave me these when they saw some of the projects I've used them on. I gave my RPi 3b to someone and they replaced it with one of the 3b+ blocks. Since my GPIO pinout is the same for all blocks, I took 2 of these kits (I tend to work on more than 1 project at a time). The cable and T-board are really handy for connecting a GPIO header to a breadboard to set up and test circuits before installing them on a more permanent board. So far the breadboard seems to be of good quality and let's face it, you can never have too many breadboards if you're a DIYer like me. As an electronics engineer, I have a lot of parts, but I really didn't have a lot of resistors, and most of my jumpers got lost, rendered useless by broken ends, or in other, more permanent homes. That's why I decided to buy this kit - there are many standard sized resistors for use in digital circuits, and the jumpers are ideal for use on a breadboard - they are more stable than regular solid core wires, and fit perfectly into the holes on the breadboard. don't need many other parts for experiments,

Pros
  • The GPIO expansion board has a fancy T-shape which isn't as compact but the labels on it are a bit easier to read
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged
