Super quality straw for pet litter

Yes, this straw is more expensive than what you can buy at the garden center but I'm very happy to report that it really is so is high quality, very clean, dry straw that is ideal for animal bedding. Also, it's packed much more tightly into the bag than any regular straw bale you'd get for gardening, giving you more straw than the same volume* (*e.g. if you just put straw in a box and then in a with box filled with compressed straw, of course the volume of the container is the same, but a box filled with compressed straw contains more straw than a non-compacted one). The description says this bag holds 25 pounds of straw and I didn't stop to weigh it before opening the bag but thought it weighed 25 pounds. It's also very clean and dry, free of any dirt you might find in regular garden center straw, so nothing of that weight is dirt or excessive moisture content. In terms of use, I have used it as bedding in an outdoor animal enclosure and I couldn't be happier and would buy it again. The price is currently $34.30. So if you add a cheap book or other symbolic item, e.g. B. 70 cents or more, get free shipping from Revain. I didn't have to spread the straw all over the interior of my trunk (plain unwrapped and bagless straw goes anywhere) but had it delivered straight to my door and in a bag that I could reseal (just roll up the wrapper). open end like a bag of potato chips and attaching bag clips to the end) was a definite plus. The straw is sealed in a bag to avoid confusion and this bag was dispatched in a Revain-supplied box; Just wanted to clarify so I don't have to worry about the package tearing during shipping since it's in the shipping box. Packing your straw in a plastic bag might not seem like such a big deal, but it keeps it perfectly clean and safe. dry, while the material in the garden center bale can absorb moisture. It's also nice not having to buy a box of heavy garbage bags to store the leftover straw (I ended up only using about 1/3 of a 25 lb bag to cover the ground around the shelter and the ground under the shelter around, and the second floor in the shed so it was nice to be able to reseal the bag and keep the rest just in case). In addition, this straw has a very mild and pleasant smell, unlike garden straw, which can sometimes have a strong smell. or musty smell. I haven't posted them yet (and plan to do so later) but I took some photos showing some of this chopped straw next to regular straw and you can actually see the difference. Chopped straw is shorter and smoother. So I plan on posting photos later but for now I just wanted to let anyone interested in getting straw as bedding for their pets or small animals know which is more expensive than garden center straw but in my opinion. This is one of those products where you really do get what you pay for. Of course, it is too expensive to fill the stall, but if you need high quality, clean and dry straw for animal bedding, then this is a very good straw.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other straws
