. As many have said, the digital clock is bright, but that doesn't keep me from sleeping. The backlight is fairly gradual and I had no problem waking myself up on time. However, I don't like that I can only use the light for alarm 1 while alarm 2 uses sound. The sound for Alarm 2 isn't overly annoying like some alarms, but I've tried to get away from it altogether. Although I like the light. I may have been luckier than in those states because my lantern is on a shelf in my bed which keeps it closer to me. Maybe I will most likely buy an alternative and give it to my kids. It wasn't a bad buy, just not exactly what I wanted.
