I bought this for my home office to use with my 15 inch portable monitor. on the same level as my laptop and taking up too much space. Kabcon is very minimalist. I had to place a book underneath to keep it level with my laptop screen, but that's not the unit's fault. I agree. It would be nice if they released a model with an extra extension. Something that extends a few more inches would be great and, dare I say, a little enticing. I would buy this new model! The base has just enough weight to prevent tipping over when a device is placed on it, but it's still a bit tipsy. I can put something on top to give it a bit more weight. a portable monitor is most likely not a problem. sits on Kabcon, weighs 1.76 pounds FWIW. Good thing: I love the included carrying case. I wasn't expecting this, so it's a nice addition.
