This little voice recorder is easy to use and works well. The sound is loud and very easy to hear through the plush padding. My kids recorded their voices and we sewed a Dictaphone into a stuffed animal for their dad for Valentine's Day and he loved it - and they loved it. However, be sure to tape off the record/playback switch before sewing this recorder into a stuffed animal. A few days later, a switch inside the stuffed animal was somehow flipped and the voice recorder was set to "record", erasing the original message and only beeping when the heart was pressed. I had to re-cut the stuffed animal and my kids re-recorded their message, taped the switch to prevent it from happening again and then sewed the stuffed animal back together. If the plushie had a velcro opening (say one made to let something in) this would be easier, although the original message would still be erased without the tape. The heart is a little big so it won't fit in a small stuffed animal and it tends to move around inside the stuffed animal so you may need to find a way to attach it. We put him in the body of a stuffed animal with a very large head, and the heart kept moving inside the head. I also wish you could record more than one message - my kids aged 5 and 7 both thought it was cool. Otherwise it was a great (partial) gift!
