Perfect for my needs

I'm by no means a professional videographer so it would be unwise to spend a few hundred bucks on a setup that I only use in my spare time. This setup fits my needs perfectly without breaking my budget. I used this with my Canon 60D. 1) Before getting this I was expecting to buy a matte box and follow the focus guides because I use batteries for my Canons and therefore expected my 60D to sit high on the rail would. This is not necessary - the matte box and FF are height-adjustable. 2) Matte box made of fairly durable plastic. The French flag and side flaps stay in place. Of course it has no slots for filters. In any case, I don't use filters for videos. 3) Pay attention to the focus - I was disappointed at first because the movement felt stiff and "bumpy" once set. Some adjustments and conversions later, now it's smooth. Not at the top of its class but does the job well. 4) Grips - good rubber, comfortable. I have yet to find the best position for the top handle - will return to this later to find a good balance for the weight of the rig and camera. 5) The shoulder rest is comfortable and sits well on my shoulder. 6) The parts of Das entire rig holds its position well after tightening. I find this rig easier to tighten and lock in place than my other rigs.
