Great for housing a cheap drive

I bought this case to house a spare 1TB Intel 660p drive to use as a high speed portable drive. I've heard of problems with the JMS583 controller, but it remained stable and reached the advertised speeds. Just don't expect to fully saturate your nvme drive with a USB 3.1 connection. The device comes in a durable metal case with a long thermal pad to help dissipate heat from the drive. My temperatures during the transfer were tepid at worst. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap NVME case. This satisfies my needs until USB 4.0 enclosures come out

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Edgy
