I bought this product for my child's birthday. I was very upset to learn how poorly designed this product is. The Icee machine requires you to make ice cubes in the cups that come with the machine. After you freeze the ice cubes, there are ridges on the cubes that should engage the grinder head and when rotated should allow ice chips, it just doesn't work. As you grind, the grinder continues to rotate across the ice until eventually it melts and there are no ridges in the ice to cling to. You wait for hours for the ice to freeze and you can't scrape the ice because the mill just scrapes the top of the ice until the grooves in the ice are gone. It's actually more frustrating than enjoyable. don't waste money. An old school ice shaver is much better. If I could give these negative stars I would.
