Review on Orange Magnetic Clip for Hydration System Tube by Source Outdoors by Phillip Johnson

First of all I like the idea. A hose with a magnetic attachment makes life a lot easier when it comes to getting hydrated quickly and easily without getting distracted from the task at hand. Unfortunately, this clip is somewhat lacking in the fast and labor intensive parts. It is designed for uncovered hoses, i.e. only for bare plastic hoses. It's a real struggle (as I had to use sandpaper) to get it on one of their fabric covered models. It even fits snugly on plastic, which means you have to orient the tube properly for the magnets to line up. The clip has a tendency to detach from whatever it's attached to unless it's a thick strap or fabric. In general, it's not terrible, but for such a simple object, it should have been better thought out than it was.
