Handy little digital camera

As promised, easy to use. No fancy features. I took it right out of the box, put in the batteries that came with it, and started recording. Practiced by video footage of horses riding in an arena with heavy shadows and patches of bright sunlight. Despite the lack of the ability to change the white balance or focus manually, the camera performs adequately. I had to shade the display with my hand to see what I was capturing because the bright sun was shining on my shoulder. At maximum zoom, images weren't crystal clear, but still good enough to capture and share moments with others. With a smaller zoom, the picture has improved significantly. I also used it indoors under fluorescent lights to film a dog and handler at an obedience program. Again, it was a little blurry with the zoom wide open, but more than enough for someone studying its performance. It was difficult to see much detail in the playback when looking at the camera's small screen. However, connecting to a portable TV was easy with the included cables. Everyone who watched was amazed at how well it worked given the ease of use and the price. Every time you stop and restart the camera, it considers it a "new video". You can just browse through these snippets and delete them as you please. When you start recording again, the new video is immediately placed at the end of the previously recorded one. The built-in USB port makes it easy to connect to a computer for viewing. Haven't tried to save to DVD yet. An hour of recording takes a long time, and AA batteries seem to last a long time. Don't expect miracles compared to more expensive full-featured cameras, but it's a great tool for capturing the little moments. view or share with friends and family.
