I bought this oil to maintain my husband's bamboo cutting board. We haven't used it yet but I'm sure it will work fine. The first package I received was not mineral oil but some kind of plastic tableware. It's easy to replace it with the product you want. When I received the oil and opened the package, the whole package was covered in oil. It was in a double pack, and the second pack was the same. When I took the bottles out of the bag, I found that one of the lids wasn't even tight. I literally had to wash both bottles in Dawn dish soap to remove the oil. If these bottles had had a foil seal under the lid, this would never have happened. Fun.
