A little background on my hair to help with my review. I am African American with natural hair type 4a (kinky curly). In these photos, I straightened my hair myself and added bobby pins. These clips went perfectly with my straightened natural hair. That being said, you don't need a relaxant to mix them. There was a decent amount of hair on the clips and the shedding was minimal. I would definitely buy again. My head is pretty small so I'm not even using the full pack in these photos. For those of you with a larger head or fuller appearance, you will need to purchase two packs. I would also like to add that these hair clips were jet black and my hair is dark brown so the color was a bit off but that was fine with me it looked like I had highlights. I recommend washing and conditioning the clamps before use as the smell from the box is quite strong. I hope my review helps everyone!
