This filter wrench appears to work very well. I bought this filter wrench to remove a large, 12" long, 4 1/2" diameter oil filter from our RV's Cummins engine. This wrench like this is the only way to remove the filter as you cannot wrap your hands around the filter nor can you put the filter tape around the filter due to its installation location. The legs of this filter wrench are 2 1/2 inches long. I wish they were an inch longer. The reason is that you lose some leg length if your filter has a bladder/curved bottom like those big RV filters. to grab the sides of the filter. It does the job, but you have to press down on the wrench when removing the filter.
