I've been using it for about a month, no problems. I keep it on my kitchen counter where everyone can easily access it and plug my phone into a small charger. It's QI wireless technology, so it's not as fast as plugging your phone directly into the wall with a standard plug. However, it works well and charges my iPhone XS by 30-60% in half an hour. Sometimes faster. Sometimes slower. I haven't done any rigorous testing to try and narrow down the phone for it to change. Some heat is generated due to the inefficiency of the wireless charging technology itself. This is something that is inherent in all wireless chargers and will not cause any damage or problems to the phone or charger. After a while the phone feels slightly warm but not hot. It's definitely not something that can burn you, and it certainly won't melt anything. If you're still worried about that, well, that's up to you. The phone can be placed either perpendicular to the charging pad or in line with it. load. I suspect these are different locations for each phone depending on where the battery is actually located. So make sure your phone starts charging when you put it down (my phone's screen lights up for a moment), otherwise you might not realize you're not hitting the sweet spot.
