The scale is not bad but not ideal for coffee

I'm not a professional coffee maker but love coming up with recipes for espresso with flair neo, coffee with V10 etc. Coffee/espresso comes out aeropress. I also value consistent results. This scale just doesn't offer it for my needs. When I have a portafilter or other vessel on the scale and add fresh coffee grounds, it often doesn't refresh at all. then happen to surpass the mark I was aiming for once that registers enough change. I would argue that the scale base of this device just doesn't capture small changes, which is a problem if you only want to measure 10-20g of coffee. It can be a very good scale for measuring other things, but it just isn't sensitive enough to handle coffee all the time. There are ways around this (like tapping the weight and letting it come back to weight) but I don't trust him completely. Choosing batteries is also a mistake as they are more expensive compared to AAA on most scales and there is no real warning that the batteries are running low. However, the form factor is pretty good (and can easily slip away) and for the price it's hard to beat. If you're looking for an accurate coffee gram scale, this isn't it. But if you want to measure heavier things (like baking and serving portions), this will probably do the trick.
