Unlike the rear-wheel drive E30, the 325iX ball joints are interchangeable. This press works well. They say you can't use a punch but I don't know how you would do without it unless you have the part in a very strong vise and a crowbar with a long tube on it. I installed all four ball joints on my machine with a Milwaukee Fuel 18v shock motor with no problems. If you are a pro I would at least get an OTC or try Matco which looks indestructible (and safe to use with a kick) but costs $7-800.
