Well made but poorly designed

Well made but poorly designed. I'm female and have a small-medium size head and, while the hat fits, the face shield part doesn't. The hat has snaps on the inner sweatband to attach the back flaps and the front face covering. The first time I put the hat on I couldn't even get the snaps on the face covering to stay attached, it was so tight across my face. So I moved things around as much as possible. Originally the face shield was snapped behind the back flaps. Switching these around gave me about 0.5 to 1 inch more room. This let me get the face shield to stay attached but it's still so tight that the top edge of the shield presses tightly across my face right underneath my lower lashline. This is very uncomfortable to wear for even a few minutes. I doubt a man could even get the face shield to stay on even if they moved things around like I did. It's a shame because the hat is nice and has a wide brim but the face covering part is useless. I have similar hats that I love wearing on walks and hikes. Sadly this one seems designed for a child.

Pros
  • I love it. It blocks flys & mosquitos and blocks uv light. And it’s very good for fishing
Cons
  • Face and neck cover may make it difficult to see peripheral vision
