These shoes are great for salsa. I'm between sizes so I went up and they were a little loose but when I danced they were fine. I laced them tight and used the foam insert barefoot. Didn't want to try the peds in case they loosen and ball up. The extra cushioning in the insole was good for the balls of my feet, so I can switch to the gel insoles. Heels bothered me when I was flat dancing, but cuban heels are perfect. I can't give the shoes credit, but last night I finally perfected my movement while in them!
