I took a 50lb boxer/pit mix and after 8 months trying to train her on a leash with a regular collar or harness I decided that my hands and arms took a bit to get them, didn't pull that tight. We used Halti on my Malamute growing up and it worked well so I thought I'd give this pup a try. I did my research and settled on this haltie because my husband was already worried about all the leashes, collars and harnesses we tried and all the money wasted on things that didn't work. The price is great and the reviews are good. After using it for about 2 weeks I have to say that it hasn't 100% stopped the cravings and hasn't run like the dog in the pack, but the cravings have slowed down and it makes learning easier. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the clasp under the muzzle that tightens this strap never stays where I adjust it. At the end of the walk, the breech is back down, not near the snout. Maybe it's because my dog pulls too hard, but I liked the old haltie my previous dog had and it had a ring instead of a clasp that tightened when the dog pulled and loosened when the dog did went right. I'm by no means an expert when it comes to dog training, but this closure frustrates me greatly. Plus, it has kept my hands from pulling out and helped me be more patient on walks with my pup. I like the soft muzzle, even if my dog pulls so hard that he twists a few times, at least it's soft and doesn't rub his face. And in general, in my opinion, it is made of good durable material, except for the shutter. Of course you need to keep training but it has made our walks so much better. All in all a good buy and I would probably buy it again. Update from 08/10/2016 Today the plastic closure broke during a walk. I went to fit it on my dog after putting it on and the plastic broke. This upset me a lot and now I don't think I will buy it again. I would recommend a halti with a metal muzzle ring rather than a cheap plastic adjuster. I'm rather disappointed.
