I'm a psychiatrist, treating patients remotely from my home office. I use my iPhone as a camera and interface to communicate with patients, and through my iPad Air I connect to a Windows computer in the clinic office to access email, the medical records system, etc. I struggled to read the small picture. Voila! I bought an inexpensive monitor (used) plus this adapter and now I don't strain my eyes. No cheap accessories. I couldn't find a cheap copy for this, but I bought similar adapters to charge my iPhone and play through wired headphones - they were all junk. So I think Apple knows how to do it right.
