Before I say anything, I want to make one thing clear: this is not a docking station. It's just a light that's under the dock to make it look nice. In any case, a docking station is required to use this product. Very high quality product. It took me about five minutes to set it up. Without the blue film on the plate it would have been about three. It has a ton of different settings (eighteen to be exact): - White - Red - Green - Blue - Yellow - Cyan - Magenta - Blink on and off for all previous colors - Blink - Slow - Blink - Fast - Flash - Off . .and two different records. The plates are of very high quality and have many details (see picture of the Super Mario Odyssey globe). This gives you 36 different options to choose from. It connects to a micro USB cable that is not permanently plugged in. That way you can use a different micro USB cable if you need to, and likely need to. It's probably around 4 inches long and only extends to the USB port on the back of the dock. I don't mind, but they really missed the opportunity to make the Nintendo Switch logo glow on the front. , it doesn't bother either; no record Splatoon 2. In summary: This is a great product. If you have money to spare and want to make your Switch look good without buying additional Joy-Cons, buy this. You won't regret it, it looks much better in real life than in the photo.
