These are nice drapes, and they keep my room really dark at night. I had Nicetown drapes that I loved but needed longer ones with grommets at the top. These are the right length, a nice chocolate color and move easily on the rods, which are at the ceiling.Definitely not blackout tho. They are thinner than the ones I had but my room is very nice and dark at night. That works for me but I did notice that I can see the light coming in the window (not out of the top, but the outline of the window!) during the day, particularly when the sun is shining.They may work if you have blinds or shades, but if you are trying to sleep during the day, these won't be enough to keep it dark.
