My son's favorite pair of jeans

My son is 5'1" and 90 pounds and I bought him a size 14. Unfortunately, he doesn't have an adjustable waist, just uses a belt. Now he wears those jeans all the time. The only thing that bothers me about it is that the fabric is so thick that it folds into the linen and the fold lines are not that easy to smooth out.
