This is a nice little camera and I used it in my apartment as management went into it more than once a week. Setup is easy. The glossy faceplate detaches to reveal a memory card slot (it has one). I set the switch to move rather than loop because the loop may erase data before I knew there was a problem. That's easy too, there's an L and an M switch. Then I just plugged it in. The hardest part was finding a convenient place to plug in that would capture faces. The field of view is not wide enough to cover the entire room. You can charge your phone with it, but it's terrible. The phone is charging slowly and the camera is getting very hot. This is useful in that this charger looks and technically works quite normal. In addition, it is fragile. A gentle swipe to the side (moving the book) tore the cover apart. I managed to put it back together, but I've found this unit barely holds together. It's not a big deal at this price point, but it's basically a one-off camera and not a long-term solution.
