Well-made leg pads are the best lens accessory
I've always used insulating water tube foam for tripod leg pads, but in the end I couldn't resist and ordered these LensCoat pads. I really like them better than the cheaper insulating pads. They protect my shoulders from impact when carrying a tripod/camera while hiking. And they look cool.
