I am very happy with this item now but not when I first got it, I have never flossed before. There are no instructions on how to actually use it. I thought I was missing a detail but found that the straw was pulled out of the bottom of the device. Then I discovered that when you floss, you do NOT look in the mirror - everything got wet, including me. Also, it's better (at least for me) to use warm water in the tank. Watch a YouTube video on how to use it. They could really improve their instructions. Now I like the device very much.
