Yes, Hoover is so good, this 18-year-old Bissel customer will never come back. I bought it in February 2017 when my last bite caught fire out of the box and the owner of the workshop offered to bring it to have it repaired (no he didn't have it in stock to sell, and told me to go to Revane ). I have refrained from posting a review for over a year to post a non-standard review. A year later I fell in love with this business. It sucks so well that the nasty water section fills up before you use up all of the solution (if you're using it for big messes) like it should, but has never happened with other products (ahem, bit, little green). With 3 kids, a dog, 4 cats and aquariums. I abuse this thing. I use them on rugs (two bedrooms in a full room), all of our mattresses, carpets, furniture and even our cars. I've only used Hoover's solution once and that was in the box. Used other brands, non-brands and mostly a homemade vinegar solution with a drop of fabric softener. Although I mistreat this little fella, I vacuum him before each use and clean him after each use. Here is my review. Pros: * Absorbs well enough, safe to use on carpet directly on hardwood. No moisture gets to the wood. Even used over towels and/or a wet/dry vacuum if there is a lot of water (er, fish tank), juice, etc. spillage. * Carpets, whatever they are, are easily damp and dry very quickly. Unlike waiting times with other brands. * The weight is realistic enough that you can pull the hose if needed while cleaning and not worry about it tipping over and spilling. * A dirty water seal will not leak when removed for disposal. * The base unit leaks like never before. You don't have to clean the carpet and move to a new section to see that you have a mess under the unit that needs to be dealt with now. * The noise level corresponds to that of a normal household vacuum cleaner. No need for hearing protection when working in a small, confined space.* The hose is longer than some models, so you don't have to constantly bang your elbow on the device when cleaning.* Easy to disassemble and clean. * The self-cleaning function ensures that nothing is left, the bad smell stays in the tubes or the base, so you don't have to worry about that bad smell when you take it out the next time you clean. * This can be heard when it is still sucking in water. The sound of items that no longer need to be vacuumed is different from those that are still needed.* The suction power is maintained over a longer period of time.* Dirty water fills up faster than the solution tank is empty. Some might think it's a scam, but when you pick up dirt and grime it has weight and bulk so it should fill up faster. This shows me that he doesn't just dump water and pick up a little to make people think he's cleaning. Cons: * The hose that the handle is on is a bit twisted due to storage, can be annoying in the right places. However, there is no cleaner that does not have this problem.* There is no other easy way to dry the device than to air dry it. I wish I could use it and clean it up the same day so it doesn't become a bathroom fixture waiting to be dried. . Please see the Benefits section above where I have noticed that it makes a different sound when sucking.* There is no easy way to fill the solution tank with solution without a funnel and/or measuring cup with a spout.* You get 1 or 2 drops when refilling out of it. But I've never dropped anything from the dirty water tank. 2 drops of cleaning solution are no problem for me. If this guy ever breaks, I'll keep buying the same one. Money well spent for a product that will stand up to abuse and consistently perform the way it did right from the start!
