I struggled with this unit until I realized that there are a few set screws that stick out even with the drive installed. These screws will interfere with the correct seating of the bay in the laptop. Once I figured that out, the installation went pretty smoothly. The color isn't the same, but that's not the manufacturer's fault. Didn't know Lenovo had multiple shades of gray. An attempt to clone my hard drive to SSD failed. I had to take out the existing HDD and move the SSD to the HD folder and then run the Windows install. When I then put an old hard drive in this slot, it was not recognized. I tried the switches and eventually it worked, but the boot time is very slow with the hard drive installed. With the tray removed, loading is very fast. When the bay is installed and Windows is removed from the old hard drive, boot times are slower than when only the hard drive is installed. I like the SSD but not this bay.
