I had my doubts about the quality of these shears after buying the first pair to try due to the low price and the all metal look and description. Considering the price, it's less than half their cost (one way). I would (now) pay $35 for it. If they were made here in the US they would cost $50. These are impressive sewing scissors (i.e. large area cuts and raw bolt cuts and layered fabric cuts with a large pattern. If you intend to use them for paper or fabric they are frankly overkill, but at this price point why not they're not suitable for small and detailed areas but don't use 10" scissors for that. They're pretty strong and the finish is solid and pretty as hell. They'll last a lifetime, seriously, they're worth sharpening - although mine did still uses a razor blade and cuts multiple (easily 3 layers) of fabric the full length of the blade I use these instead of any other scissors when sewing I am writing this now because I bought these some time before I wanted another pair and for less than $20.. It's a bit unbelievable.If you're looking for a big, heavy, razor-sharp pair of scissors.
